I love Davao!

Tuesday, June 25, 2013

I fell in love with Davao. The 3 days and 2 nights that we spent at Davao was not enough. Bitin! I would love to go back and explore what more Davao could offer. My husband even thought the place is livable for our family. We both love the scenery, the adventures it could offer, the food (OMG! the food), the people and the city itself. Though we find the commute in the city kind of hard since there are different jeepney routes, but anyone can familiarize it in time. I would post the details and pictures of our adventure at Davao as soon as I finish my deadlines at the office.

Man Of Steel Movie Screening

A big thank you to Nuffnang and Wacoal for hosting the special screening of 'Man of Steel' at Resorts World Manila last June 12. I won 2 free tickets so I had my daughter as my date. Coincidentally, June 12 was our 'independence day'. Our day of 'free'-dom. We had a free ride (c/o Resorts World shuttle), free movie tickets, free popcorn and drinks and free mini-concert. Ely Buendia was at Resorts World for an Independence Day concert with PUP's Banda Kawayan as his front act.

The movie was okay. (Sorry, I am not a big fan of Clark Kent. I am more of a Bruce Wayne kind of girl). My daughter love the action parts. I am in awe of how handsome Henry Cavil is. But we both love Russell Crowe, he is our favorite.

Nuffnang knows us very well. There is a photobooth and free lootbags for all the bloggers. Yey! Until next movie. Thanks again!

They Are Spoiling Me

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Yes, indeed. I feel that my family is spoiling me. As we celebrate Father's Day on Saturday (since he will be working on a Sunday) my husband bought me my long time request of a sleeping mask. I am an avid fan of darkness especially when I am sleeping. A flick of light can ruin my good night sleep. That is why I hate my husband's work schedule. And this sleeping mask is a great help.

And with all the rage about the new Mc Spicy Chicken Burger, my sister brought home one for me. She works at Mc Donald's and I perpetually tease her of bringing home a Mc Spicy as pasalubong. And last Sunday she did.... especially for me. And it was so good. The spiciness is just right, the fillet is filling and the sauce is just right.

I know these are small things but it meant a lot to me. I feel loved!

Energen Family Run

Saturday, June 08, 2013

We had a blast from the last fun run we did. It's the Energen Family Run held at Bonifacio Global City last May 26, 2013 for the benefit of Bantay Bata. (Yes, this is a late post. One of the many that will come because work is getting in the way of my blogging.) My friends and I run the 5K category and I finished at 46:14, my best so far.

We enjoyed the run. It was a well organized event. The route was easy and clear, plenty of water stations, enough marshals and the event host was funny.

There were game booths and photo booths. Giving out of loot bags are organized too. What I enjoyed most is watching the 500M category for young boys and girls. They are so cute.

They raffled off 10 Ipad Minis for all the categories and a PS3 for the kids. We are not lucky enough to win anything but the experience is enough to make our morning perfect.

we take photos at the photo booth even before the race start...priorities!
the loots, I had a whole week of Energen breakfast
the running me!
Kudos to Energen and we are looking forward for the next run.
