Music Monday #010- Avril Lavigne

Monday, October 29, 2012

Last Saturday was my father's birthday. As part of the celebration we had a videoke at home. I had one particular song that I have sung a couple of times. And to my surprise I sung it quite well. Here it is...

When You're Gone lyrics

I always needed time on my own
I never thought I'd need you there when I cry
And the days feel like years when I'm alone
And the bed where you lie is made up on your side

When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
When you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too

When you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through
The day and make it ok
I miss you

I've never felt this way before
Everything that I do reminds me of you
And the clothes you left, they lie on the floor
And they smell just like you, I love the things that you do

When you walk away I count the steps that you take
Do you see how much I need you right now?

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
And when you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too

And when you're gone
The words I need to hear to always get me through
The day and make it ok
I miss you

We were made for each other
Out here forever
I know we were, yeah

And all I ever wanted was for you to know
Everything I'd do, I'd give my heart and soul
I can hardly breathe I need to feel you here with me, yeah

When you're gone
The pieces of my heart are missing you
And when you're gone
The face I came to know is missing too

And when you're gone
All the words I need to hear will always get me through
The day and make it ok
I miss you

Saturday 9: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

Saturday, October 27, 2012

Here goes.....

  1. Do you fantasize about flying, beyond the rainbow or anywhere else? Yes, but not to the rainbow. I want to try paragliding, though I know I don't have the courage to do so.
  2. Do you think you have seen The Wizard of Oz more than 10 times? I don't think so. I guess about five times maximum only. Though I read it a number of times to my daughter.
  3. Which Wizard of Oz character would you most like to dress as for Halloween? Dorothy, very girly like me. And like her I fantasize about being somewhere else seeking an adventure I won't forget.
  4. What will Trick or Treaters get when they come to your front door? Candies and chocolates for treaters.
  5. Did you ever TP a neighbor's house or indulge in other acts of Halloween vandalism as a kid? Never did any Halloween vandalism on my neighbor's houses because I'm afraid my parents would never allow that. But as a kid, during Halloween, we always watch scary movies and whoever turns out to be the most scared will definitely get another dose of Halloween tricks from the others.
  6. Who annoys you more -- people who never responds to your text/emails, or those who never look up because they're always checking their texts/emails? The latter. I can easily dismiss those people who never replies. But when I am talking to a person who never pays attention to everything I'm saying because he is too busy looking at his cellphone deserves a solid punch in the face.
  7. Who was the last person you hugged? My daughter, as she bids her goodnight last night.
  8. What two colors do you like to wear together? Black and Blue
  9. Did your alarm clock wake you up this fine Saturday morning? No, my husband did, as he knocks on our door when he came home this morning from work.

friday fill-ins

  1. Oh, that George (an officemate) is very annoying.
  2. It's a sure sign of defeat when my friends take my husband's side.
  3. Are we having a fight again??!.
  4. My heart only belongs to me and no one else.
  5. Do you believe in ghost? I do!
  6. I'm a lazy person.
  7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a spa treatment with my sisterettes, tomorrow my plans include having a private party with the family at home for my papa's birthday and Sunday, I want to jog in the morning with Leslie

Essential Nails and Spa : 'Me' time

Thursday, October 25, 2012

The last two quarters of the year is the busiest in our office. Everyday is crunch time. And as a working mom I rarely have time to relax and have my 'me' time. After a hectic day at the office I have a ton loads of household chores that awaits me at home.

But thanks to my friends. They keep it a habit of inviting me and encouraging me to take time for myself. And some are gracious enough to treat me to a spa! My office mate, Gie, bought two vouchers at Essential Nails and Spa via Deal Amigos for a full body scrub and body massage treatment for as low as P 250.00 each. It's her first time to experience such indulgence. And as a thank you to me for introducing her to the world of bargain hunting, she bought me a voucher.

Essential Nails and Spa is located at N. Roxas St. corner Banawe. Near Philippine Orthopedic Hospital. They have very accommodating attendants and pleasant facilities. Gie loves the music of Sitti that keeps on playing at the place. And when they gave us our treatment, it was blissful. I got my much needed relaxation.

Music Monday #009 - Maroon 5

Monday, October 22, 2012

It's a Migraine Monday! I woke up with a numbing headache. Aside from my medicines, blaring loud, rock music in my ear helps. So this is what I've been playing on and on on my mp3.

Happy Music Monday! Enjoy :-)

Saturday 9: The End of the Innocence

This a very late post. It's a Saturday 9 on a Monday! The last two weeks had been very hectic for me but I'm still joining anyways, so bear with me please. Here goes....

  1. "The End of the Innocence" is one of Crazy Sam's favorite songs. Do you like it? Loathe it? Or is it before your time?  I am not familiar with the song that is why I listened to it first before answering this question. Well, I like it. I can listen to it again and again on a rainy afternoon reminiscing my younger days.
  2. Obviously Don Henley was a smoker back in the 1980's. Do you smoke? Are you a former smoker? Or did you never start?   I am not a smoker and I never will be.
  3. Childhood is generally considered an innocent time. In what town did you spend yours?   In our little town in Valenzuela here at the Philippines. I had a happy childhood. I spent it mostly playing with my cousins and friends outside.
  4. Do you abide by "innocent until proven guilty?" Or did you come to your own, pre-trial conclusions about famous defendants like Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson?   I would be lying if I won't admit that I presume some things in regards with some cases I am familiar with. But it's my own opinion, and generally I keep it to myself.
  5. Is there an old TV show whose cast you'd like to see reunite?  Definitely, the 'Friends' cast. I hope that they do another show together.
  6. Do you know how to ride a horse?  No, because I am afraid of horses. I feel that they will kick me when I get near them. I hate them when they are drooling.
  7. You're ordering ice cream. Cup or cone?  Cup. I like eating ice cream with a spoon that lick it from a cone.
  8. Do you believe a gentleman should help a lady with her coat?   Of course! And it shouldn't stop from there. A true gentleman will assist a lady in every way possible.
  9. Which search engine do you use most often?   Google Chrome.

my pamangkins

Happy rainy Wednesday guys. I just want to post pictures of my pamangkins. My nephew Mirko and my niece Aily. I have nothing in particular to say about them. Only that they are very cute and wonderful.

This is Mirko invading my time doing the laundry. He keeps me entertained with his super hero antics. Notice the small sticker on his face? He is the 'Batman' according to him.

And this is my super cute niece, Aily. She is pretty big now at four months old. She's no longer a cry baby. Mabungisngis nga eh. And she's a doll. We love to dress her up.

I am a lucky tita.... :-)
